Call for visual artists - major new gallery opening in South Devon
The Brownston Gallery is a new, commercial visual arts gallery to be
launched in South Devon at Easter 2006. It will offer high quality, contemporary
visual arts
- primarily paintings, along with sculpture, a small amount of designer jewellery
and ceramics, glassware and other crafts.

We're looking for visual artists and makers to exhibit and sell work
in our beautiful new 1,300 sq ft space.

You may be an established artist looking for a new out-of-town gallery; a south-west based artist wanting a very special space to exhibit; or an emerging or
new practitioner searching for an exciting opportunity. You could be
fresh out of university or have already notched up many decades of success.
Whatever your situation, experience or expertise, then we would love to hear from
you.

With a prime high street location, it's an ideal space for both bold
contemporary painting and other two dimensional work, and for high quality three-
dimensional work.

The main 1,000 sq ft gallery is a stunning space for exhibiting high quality
established, new and emerging artists whose work is for sale. This
space will typically house mixed exhibitions of between three and eight artists
dependent on work types and styles. Our 300 sq ft second gallery will enable us
to  show a wide variety of for-sale and non-commercial work including solo artist
exhibitions across all visual artforms including small installations (including
moving image work).

Sited in the centre of Modbury, an affluent, traditional town, the gallery will
aim to establish a niche for accessible, high quality repetitive, original
contemporary visual arts, serving a market including the local and regional
community, collectors and tourists.

If you're interested in exhibiting with us, please contact us for a full
information pack by email to mailto:Sue.sturton@tiscali.co.uk

Or post to: Sue Sturton, Mount Pleasant Farmhouse, Saltash,
Tideford,  Cornwall, PL12 5JT

Please note: As the Brownston Gallery is not scheduled to open until
April 2006, the address and contact details provided differ from the Gallery,
please ensure any information or work submitted is sent to the correct address
that  appears above.
