FWA is not at present taking on any interns. This will be reviewed in Septmeber 2007. Internship opportunity: Minimum of one day a week. This is a good opportunity to gain valuable work experience, much demanded in todays job market. Previous interns have gone on to work at the Ikon Gallery, the Photographers Gallery, engage, Matt’s Gallery, Orleans House. We have had student placements from Birkbeck College, City University, University of Greenwich, The Courtauld Institute and Goldsmiths in London and currently have just completed assessment of an undergraduate student from the University of Toulouse on a one-semester secondment. Our interns are mostly graduates or postgraduate students looking to move into curating, arts management and administration. Gallery etc. All interns receive a full induction to the work of FWA, are involved in all aspects of and at all levels of this small and non-hierarchical office. Interns are fully supervised and have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of FWA’s work including studio visits to artists and attending conferences on our behalf. Expenses paid. Duties can include: Office duties - database, general admin, website maintenance, research, fundraising, assisting with exhibition installation and event planning.
